Giuseppe Gola was appointed C.E.O. and General Manager of Open Fiber.

His professional background in the telecommunications field is strong. In 1990, he graduated in Electronic Engineering from La Sapienza Università di Roma, and then he attained a Master’s degree in Management Development from LUISS Guido Carli in Rome.

In 1991, he started his business career serving in the Enel Group, where he contributed to establishing Wind Telecommunications S.p.A., serving as Head of Business Plan for Mobile Services. In 1988, he became Head of Business Plan and Shareholders’ Relations of the Company.

After several other experiences in the TLC sector, he rejoined Wind in 2002, where he held increasingly prominent positions until taking on the role of C.F.O. from 2007 to 2016.

In 2017, he was appointed C.F.O. of Acea S.p.A., contributing to the multi-utility’s transformation by acquiring gas distribution, photovoltaic production and waste treatment companies.

In 2020, he was appointed C.E.O. of Acea S.p.A., boosting the Group’s EBITDA and net profit growth, managing an investment plan of over EUR 3.2 billion and achieving, among other things, an improvement in each service quality indicator.

Since December 2023 he has been Vice Chairman of Asstel – Assotelecomunicazioni, the industrial representative association of the telecommunications supply chain in Italy.
