Massimo Sarmi has been Chairman of FiberCop since November 2020, transitioning to become Chairman of the newly launched FiberCop in July 2024 to both Chairman and CEO since January 23rd 2025.
Mr. Sarmi has worked in the telecommunications sector since 1976, holding top positions across some of Italy’s major strategic companies.
Mr. Sarmi worked at Telecom Italia from 1976-1999, and was the first General Manager of TIM when the mobile radio division was spun off from Telecom Italia, later becoming General Manager at Telecom Italia.
Among his other appointments, Mr. Sarmi has also served as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Siemens Italia and Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Poste Italiane Group.
